Today I’m finally sharing some of our Thanksgiving memories. This year has been full of ups and downs, and if it’s taught me anything, it’s that anything can change at any given moment. We’ve spent sooooo many years lost in “busy-ness” with our kids in so many activities. We did everything from competitive dance, soccer, baseball, coaching, and volunteering. Sometimes we didn’t have one day off from having at least one commitment.

This year we were forced to take a breather thanks to Covid, and even though we’ve been dealing with a pandemic, it’s been eye opening as to how much family time we’ve missed out on. Although 2020 has been one for the books, I’m so thankful for the time and togetherness we’ve been able to share. Our first born goes off to college in 2021 (insert me shedding a few tears), but I feel a sense of peace that we’ve had this year to strengthen our family bond even tighter.

With the year being so different, we decided to take a little getaway to Idyllwild, California. We hiked, watched Christmas movies, cooked, made gingerbread houses, and played games. We usually host Thanksgiving at our house every year, so this was definitely a change. The hardest part was cooking a whole meal in the little cabin kitchen. I think it still turned out pretty delicious though!

I hope you all stay healthy and continue to make the best of this crazy year!

Love,

Hollie
