Hi friends! If you’re here, thank you so much for taking the time to check out my master bedroom
reveal. I decided to take on the Better Homes and Gardens One Room Challenge just for fun, and because I had been neglecting my master bedroom for far too long. We had done work to just about EVERY other space in our home inside and out, except our master bedroom. Sounds odd right?! It’s amazing how many people reached out and said the same EXACT thing!

Here‘s a “before” pic of my room below. It was basically an “ok” room that was just...blah. It functioned, but fell totally flat. It was basically the place all of our old furniture would end up. We never had matching nightstands, we never chose a rug, and our old dresser was dark brown with teeth marks from our son. We had a really old brown chair in the corner. Our chandelier was an Ikea find that we gave to my little niece for her pretty princess room haha. BEFORE

We never really intentionally did much except purchase a comfy bed. Then we just stopped moving forward haha. The One Room Challenge motivated me to stay on a timeline, I made some really cool friends, and our room is finally done! To me, that’s a total win!

I started by painting our walls, next I added molding above our bed to create an accent wall. I wanted some color, so the main color is Sherwin Williams Iced Marble. I painted our dresser on the same color, then added drapes and some pillows in the same tone.

I decided to come out of my comfort zone and create a tone on tone space by using shades of blue. I chose a new light fixture, two sconces, and two lamps for our dresser. I chose a new rug, a smaller accent rug, and a new half circle bench at the foot of the bed. If you made it this far thank you so much!
