It’s WEEK 4 of the @betterhomesandgardens @oneroomchallenge ! This means we’re all halfway through our makeovers. At this point I’ve completed painting the entire master bedroom space, I made over my old brown dresser with teeth marks in it 😆 (see last week’s post), completed most of the lighting, and of course finished my accent wall! This past week I focused a ton on what to do with this wall behind my bed. I REALLY wanted to do a white washed brick, BUT the amount of work and the expense that it would have taken to complete it just didn’t seem worth it. I even looked into doing a faux brick technique which I still would like to try, just not on this particular wall. We have windows on each side of the bed, and a high tufted headboard, so at the end of the day the brick would have only shown a little above the bed. I decided to take a chance and hang some molding above the bed and streamline it with painting it all once color. Let me tell you, this transformation made my ceilings feel SO much taller! They just seem to stretch the eye straight upwards. I’m still deciding on whether or not to hang an accent piece of art right in the center here. What do you guys think? .
