Happy Valentine’s Day! Cookie baking was a success. Now I need a sugar detox 😅. The kids enjoyed sipping pink lemonade whole baking and decorating Valentine’s sugar cookies. I linked all the supplies and yummy recipes below. Today the hubby and I are heading out to the wineries! 🍷 Have a beautiful LOVE day! ❤️💗 .

Sugar Cookie Dough Recipe:

Ingredients For Dough:

2 cups softened butter

2 heaping cups of sugar

(the creamed butter and sugar provide a base for the dough)

7 eggs (this provides structure to the dough)

5-6 cups of flour

6 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

1.  Cream butter and sugar into a base

2. Add the remaining wet ingredients, then slowly add the flour and baking powder.

I LOVE my Kitchenaid Mixer, so I linked the one I have here:

3. Chill dough for about an hour (you can chill for up to two days)

4. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper

5. Bake for 5-7 minutes

6. Let cookies fully cool before frosting!

Here are the cute little cookie cutters I bought on Amazon:
